With The Orchestra begins the journey in search of orchestral and choral color. The melody is always well underlined by instruments and solo voices. Particular is the use of a countertenor who, in “Il canto della sirena” and “Corrispondenze”, intertwines with the soprano. There are also hints of atonality and contemporary compositional procedures, such as bitonal harmonies in “Corrispondenze”, but they do not constitute the predominant factor of the whole album. The purpose is not to write music to impress the experts, but simply to excite who can listen to.
